At the first trial in Ångermanland District Court, Prosecutor Stina Sjöqvist requested that the man be sentenced for murder.

"This is not about assisting in suicide but about active action," Stina Sjöqvist has previously said.

Open doors

The prosecutor wanted to have closed doors at least when reporting the woman's medical history. It did not want the defense. The woman's medical records and a film with a farewell and the first unsuccessful suicide attempt are the crucial point, they say.

The man himself stated at the beginning of the trial that he wants everything to be public, and so it became.

Shaking film document

In connection with the prosecutor's case in the morning, the films were shown with the woman's farewell speech and the first failed attempt to end her life with gas.

- The situation is unsustainable for me and my husband who can take responsibility, says the woman in her farewell speech.

She also describes her illness.

- Living with ME is like living in a torture chamber, there is no cure to get.

The speech ends with her saying, "This is my decision".

After the unsuccessful attempt with gas, there is an exchange of words where you hear the man say: "Take the morphine".

The latter conversation about the morphine calls on prosecutor Stina Sjöqvist the right to pay special attention.

CASE HISTORY

After a short break, the prosecutor continues with a long drawing of the woman's medical history.

She has had problems for a long time with, above all, fatigue depression as a diagnosis and has been cared for at Österåsens health home, among other things.
