- In my case, I have probably perceived myself as a bit awkward and that is why I have been deposed and peeled off by the new management. I was very clear that I wanted Erik Ullenhag as party leader and not Nyamko Sabuni, ”she tells Svenska Dagbladet.

She was among those who were running for the January agreement and would have liked to see the Liberals take office in the government.

- That line is certainly perceived as far-reaching in a situation when the party seems to be thinking about the road ahead, even though Nyamko Sabuni says we will stick to the January agreement, Starbrink says.

According to the nomination committee's proposal, eleven of the party board members may remain, while 14 are replaced.

"No such connection"

The Nomination Committee Chairman Lars Persson Skandevall denies that Anna Starbrink was replaced for not supporting Sabuni.

- There is no such connection. We have done a major renewal and have discussed over 100 names where Anna Starbrink was one of them, he says.

Anna Starbrink has served on the party board for six years and for a long time has been the party's health policy spokesperson, but that post has now been taken over by Lina Nordqvist. She is also a regional council in Stockholm.
