It is noted that the event was attended by Serbian President Alexander Vučić, Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botan-Harchenko, as well as the widow of politician Irina Primakova.

“I was very lucky to work under the leadership of Yevgeny Maksimovich when he came to the Foreign Ministry,” said Botan-Kharchenko.

The ambassador recalled how difficult the situation in the former Yugoslavia was, noting that Primakov had always advocated a peaceful solution to the Yugoslav crisis.

On October 29, the opening ceremony of the monument to Yevgeny Primakov was held at the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Moscow. The event was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
