This is the commitment made by the chairman of the departmental council of Yvelines, Pierre Bédier, less than 48 hours after the urban violence that erupted on Saturday night in Chanteloup-les-Vignes, which led to the fire of a circus tent. It was during what appears to be an ambush against the police that the fire was triggered by what Prime Minister Philippe Philippe called a "small band of fools and irresponsible" .

"In less than a year, it must be done"

It is in front of the ashes of this wooden marquee that the president of Yvelines announced that the department would finance the structure and the material of the building. "We are ready to pay 100% to start the work immediately to rebuild the marquee in the same way.We will not go on a big project.In less than a year, it must be done", a he started. Pierre Bédier said that his community would also finance equipment, including costumes, the marquee.

In total, it is therefore about 1.6 million euros that the department must pay. Not to mention the exceptional grant that Pierre Bédier intends to unlock for the municipality, with the aim of strengthening security through, among other things, the recruitment of police officers.

More than a place in which children could learn the performing arts, for the parents and teachers of the area, the marquee was the symbol of the renewal of Chanteloup-les-Vignes. "The families, the children, saw through their windows, burn their dreams, burn their capital, because it's their tent, they're all traumatized and that's ugly."

Chanteloup-les-Vignes is "the prey of various assaults and varied for several days," she lamented Sunday, referring to the daily cuts in public lighting, caused by some young people in the sensitive neighborhood of Noah near which is implanted the marquee.
