Spaniard Rafael Nadal has as expected delighted the place of world number one Serbian Novak Djokovic, according to the new ATP ranking unveiled Monday, also marked by the return of Gael Monfils in the Top 10.

Despite his fifth win Sunday at the Masters 1000 Paris-Bercy, "Djoko" down one rank, 8,945 points, and Nadal, who has declared injury on injury before the semifinals, he is credited with 9.585 points.

The 32-year-old Serb, winner of the Australian Open and Wimbledon, lost on Monday the points collected in London a year ago, where the Spaniard, injured, was absent.

However, the duel between the two men is still alive. If Nadal, winner of Roland Garros and the US Open, is already assured to keep the throne next week during the Masters tournament, he may depending on the results in London lose him in the final ranking of the season.

Switzerland's Roger Federer remains in third place ahead of Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Austria's Dominic Thiem.

The Russian Karen Khachanov (-9, 17th), who won last year in Bercy but was eliminated from the start this year, takes advantage of Greek Stefano Tsitsipas (6th), who wins a rank by doubling the German Alexander Zverev, as well as Italian Matteo Berrettini (8th, +1) and Spaniard Roberto Bautista (9th, +1).
