Sunday, November 3, in the city of Oran, the judges who opposed the changes provided by the decision of the Minister of Justice, and blocking the City Court, were rejected by the gendarmes. Images that quickly circulated and caused a lot of criticism.

It has been a week since magistrates are on strike against a decision by the ministry to transfer several thousand of them . Faced with criticism, the national union of the judiciary had recalled Saturday, in a statement, that magistrates were to provide the minimum service.

Ministry side, it is said that the dialogue is open but on national radio, a leader said Sunday that it was not a strike, but a " rebellion ".

The transfer decisions were to take effect and the striking magistrates decided to occupy the courts to prevent the newly appointed judges from starting work. But in Oran, the second largest city in the country, the gendarmerie was seized and sent to remove the strikers from the court.

The images of the helmeted men, equipped with shields and batons, the cries of magistrates and the images of the wounds quickly made the turn of the media and the social networks. Lawyers and magistrates get together quickly. The press speaks of shocking images.

In the evening, the national union of the judiciary calls for the resignation of the Minister of Justice Belkacem Zeghmati . And the Superior Council of the Judiciary denounces " unacceptable " facts and requests the opening of an investigation.

This is a serious incident. This is the first time we have witnessed such an event in our country, such violence. What happened at the Oran court augurs bad things for us ...
