The Civil Guard has arrested a 17-year-old boy as the alleged perpetrator of the death of his mother, whose body was located on Monday in the municipality of Foz, in Lugo.
The case is considered as a crime in the field of domestic violence and sources of the investigation have confirmed to EL MUNDO that there were no previous records or complaints not by the child or his mother.
The body was located around 12 noon on Monday after a woman alerted the Civil Guard because she had not seen her neighbor for two days. A patrol entered the house of the disappeared and found a body.
About 35 minutes later, at 12.35 pm on Monday, the son of the deceased was arrested, who is credited with a crime of manslaughter. He was arrested at another point in the municipality of Foz.
The detainee is 17 years old and his mother is between 35 and 37, according to the sources consulted. Mother and son lived in the same address where the body was located.
