Former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Yelena Lukash believes that political opponents of the current president of the country, Vladimir Zelensky, will try to “overthrow” him amid the discontent of part of the population with the position of the head of state to resolve the situation in Donbass.
In her opinion, if the president has chosen the “path to peace” that he believes is right, then he should be prepared for the fact that the whole population will not like it, but at the same time continue to act in accordance with the decision.
“Of course, they will shout, they will certainly reel, they will certainly rock, but they are rocking not because of breeding, but because Zelensky needs to be overthrown. And the reason is so convenient - surrender, ”said Lukash on the air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
Along with this, she noted that the president has no support from the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
“Avakov, what, Zelensky’s man? Ryaboshapka, who left for the lead (prosecutor general of Ukraine. - RT )? Where is at least one result of the work? ... What the SBU does there, I don’t understand at all, ”the ex-member of the Cabinet added.
In addition, Lukash is confident that after Vladimir Zelensky came to power, the social situation in the country “has not improved, the economic has worsened, the political has become a galaxy of some scandals, and freedom of speech is a big question.”
“But it still became relatively easier: people are no longer so intensively driven out of churches, people are not so divided into“ friends ”and“ strangers ”,“ fifth column ”and“ patriotic column ”, the former minister explained.
Recall, on October 29, a breeding of forces took place in the area of the village of Zolotoe, Luhansk region. This happened a few days after Vladimir Zelensky visited there. The head of state talked with the radicals “in high tones,” calling for “surrender weapons,” after which the founder of Azov, Andrei Biletsky, threatened to send thousands of fighters to the demarcation line and “prevent surrender.”

Meanwhile, the nationalists did not take any action against the official authorities, and the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, assured that the radicals in Zolotoy had surrendered their weapons.
“For more than four years, the heads of NATO and EU countries individually and collectively blamed Russia for the lack of efforts to implement the Minsk agreements. For more than four years, Moscow explained that they were frustrated by nationalist-oriented elements, the responsibility for which lay with Kiev. Now the whole world has heard the true guilty plea about who and how blocked all this time the implementation of the Minsk agreements, the starting point of which should be the separation of forces, ”commented Maria Zakharova, spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.
We add that on October 7–9, the withdrawal of forces was to begin in the area of the village of Petrovskoye. The parties agreed on this on October 1 at the talks in Minsk. Also on that day, representatives of Ukraine agreed on the Steinmeier formula (determines the procedure for the entry into force of the law on the special status of Donbass and the holding of elections in the region).
However, these plans were frustrated by the Ukrainian nationalist formations, in particular, the soldiers of the Azov volunteer regiment, which is part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. In addition, protests took place in the country, the participants of which accused the current authorities of “surrender”. Now the separation of forces is scheduled for November 4.

State Duma deputy from Crimea Ruslan Balbek called Elena Lukash’s statement “an alarm bell” for the president of Ukraine. According to him, Vladimir Zelensky is accused of any possible reason, while the ultra-right put forward measures to resolve the conflict in the Donbass as "betrayal and surrender."
“If Zelensky is tried to be overthrown by force or by a quick coup d'etat, you won’t have to expect anything good from this for the simple reason that a real dense nationalist can come in his place, with whom it will be useless to talk about anything. Is it necessary for today's Ukraine? Society definitely doesn’t, but those who warm their hands in the war in the Donbass need this conflict like air, and they will die with bones, if only it doesn’t stop, ”the parliamentarian said in an interview with RT.
Senior researcher at the Center for European Studies of IMEMO RAS Vladimir Olenchenko also found the words of the ex-Minister of Justice of Ukraine alarming, but believes that the office of Vladimir Zelensky will cope with the situation.
“It is possible that the ex-minister’s statement is intended to show the Ukrainian public that there is a confrontation between two forces - Zelensky’s supporters and Poroshenko’s policy supporters,” the source said.
