It is the first assessment of the wave of bad weather that is currently affecting Liguria, in the border area between the provinces of Genoa and La Spezia. Some medium-small streams have reached the limit.

"The night between Saturday and Sunday saw strong thunderstorms scattered from the west to the east, with widespread and local flooding, a few episodes of falling trees and some roofs uncovered due to the strong wind. Pay maximum attention even to strong winds and the sea in increase from last night, especially in the Levant ", reads the Facebook page of the Liguria Region in a post dedicated to the weather alert.

"At 10 this morning, after the peak of Cuccarello (68.8 mm / 1h at 7.30) - it is written - it was Sestri Levante that was affected by a very strong backhand, with 57.6 mm / 1h. The thunderstorm in Bargone was strong (49.2 mm), Tavarone (46.4 mm), Passo del Brattello (44.6 mm), and it is the whole area behind Sestri Levante that is affected at this stage by the most intense rains.

Torrente Petronio overflowed
The Petronio stream is flooded in the stretch between Casarza Ligure and Riva Trigoso, in the Levante Ligure. According to what was learned, there would be no damage to people at the moment. Dozens of interventions by Municipality staff. Some roads closed and the gallery for Moneglia. Even the level of the Vara, in the La Spezia area, has risen above the second guard level.

Councilor: "Maximum attention to storm surges"
