One of the world's largest wrestling competitions will be held in Västerås this weekend and approximately 1,300 matches will be held. Signe Foxell is one of the contestants in this year's edition.

How does it feel when you wrestle?

- Just feel: now I'll do everything I can to bring you down, says Signe.

Signe has been training since she was six years old. A friend invited her to a workout and it was love at first sight.

- I fasted directly and thought it was great fun. I like to train hard, you fight and take yourself out. I like to get tired. she says.

What is the goal in the future?

- I want to win Olympic gold.

Participants from 11 years and up to seniors compete this weekend. In addition to Sweden, participants represent nine different countries, such as Germany, Latvia and Greece. Fifty wrestlers from the United States are also registered. The Mälar Cup will be held November 1-3 at the Bombardier Arena in Västerås.

- There are few events that can compete with Mälarcupen. As far as I know, it is the only annual competition in Västerås that attracts participants from all over the world, says competition manager Anders Morsing.
