“A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the incident with the Russian tanker,” the message reads on the website of the Far Eastern Investigation Directorate for Transport of the IC of Russia.
It is noted that according to the investigation, a gas-air mixture popped on the tanker, no combustion was observed.
It is specified that the search for the missing sailor is underway.
It is also reported that investigators are inspecting the scene, interrogating witnesses, and seizing technical documentation for the vessel.
Earlier it was reported that due to the explosion on the Gulf of America tanker, two people were killed, another person was missing.
