In October 1971, several hundred young people entered the session hall in Luleå town hall. They wanted a youth home - but when the municipality's representatives could not give clear information, the young people decided to occupy a demolition house. The occupation caused a major police call.

The occupation yielded results and the young people eventually got their own room.

In 1971, SVT visited the young people behind the occupation, which is now suffering from internal conflicts. But the fight for a youth home had barely ended before the youth entered the next battle. This time towards a planned big school for all high school students.
