A week after the tragedy of Bafoussam, many families are still in distress. Excavations, conducted so far in the deadly landslide that occurred Monday in the west of the country, failed to find all missing persons. It is impossible, under these conditions, for some, to mourn.

Since the night of the tragedy , a lady encountered on the spot in Bafoussam, about fifty years old and whose part of the house disappeared under the waves, with some members of her family, is inconsolable:

" Thomas, we do not find it, she is sorry. Leopold, we do not find him. We are overwhelmed . If we found these bodies, we could sit down and mourn. We are not complete. A family we were, we are odd today. We do not know if they are dead, if they are alive, if they are ... I do not know. We are really lost. "

Looking at the excavations, which she does not lose from the land that is returned by firefighters, she implores: " Help us, help us ... Help us find our family that we do not find anywhere. We do not understand. We are told that they are still there. Of all that we do, we are told almost nothing. So we are lost. "

This distress is also that of Pauline: " I am looking for the body of my neighbor, she said. My heart is not in me, I'm not calm. A nice lady ... I can not sleep. "

For all these people, only the discovery and identification of all bodies, still buried, could allow them to mourn. The toll of the Bafoussam landslide still amounts to 43 dead and 11 wounded.
