The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced a Gulf unemployed 36-year-old to six months in jail for taking 110,000 dirhams from a person for renting a non-owned apartment in a tower in Dubai Marina.

The court convicted the defendant of forging an official editor, a property certificate attributed to the Dubai Land Department, and forging an official editor of a lease contract. The victim stated in his testimony that he had read an advertisement on one of the real estate marketing sites on the Internet about an apartment for rent in a building in the Marina area, and by communicating the number fixed in the advertisement, one person answered, acknowledged that the apartment belonged to his manager, agreed with him on the rental price, and went himself to inspect the apartment. , And no one was inside.

He added that after a period of contact with the defendant, claiming that the owner of the apartment asked him to determine a meeting to hand him a certificate of ownership of the apartment, and when he saw the certificate, I think it is correct, because it was colored, and the name of the defendant as the owner of the apartment, he signed the lease, and the defendant handed two checks for the agreed amount on him.

The victim continued that after the delivery of checks to the defendant told him that he would undertake the maintenance of the apartment and hand over the keys after that, and after a period of time began to leak concern to himself, he contacted the defendant, but he did not answer the phone, went to the apartment again to discover that it belongs to someone Another, and that the certificate of ownership was forged, he informed the police that arrested the accused.
