The planned adventure expansion of the Edda Hall in Skellefteå will continue according to plans. This is what the Alliance in Skellefteå, the Moderates, the Center Party, the Liberals and the Christian Democrats have opposed in a letter.

- The board must prioritize, the municipality is facing savings requirements and then it is irresponsible to build this part, says Ramona Dolan (M), the leisure committee, to SVT.

She continues:

- This means that other investments must be left behind, we would rather see other priorities such as an activity hall for other sports, than to spend even more money and focus on making Skellefteå more bathhouse-heavy.

"Absolutely do not want to back"

The Alliance in Skellefteå believes that it is not reasonable to spend SEK 56.4 million on the adventure pool, while already budgeting 75 million to the Örjanshallen in Skelleftehamn.

Joakim Wallström (V), chairman of the leisure committee in Skellefteå, says that the work on adventure development has been going on for a long time and that you do not want to back down now when there is support in the budget.

- We are behind the decision. There is a great demand for an adventure part and now that it is finally in the budget, we feel that we absolutely do not want to back down, says Wallström.
