The municipal council of Dresden, capital of Saxony, proclaimed the 'Nazinotstand', the 'state of emergency Nazism', approving a resolution that states that "anti-democratic, anti-pluralist, misanthropic and extreme extremist attitudes and actions right, including violence in Dresden, are becoming increasingly evident ". Spiegel reports this.

According to the resolution, the city, reports the Stuttgarter Nachrichten, "should in the future strengthen democratic culture and better protect minorities and victims of right-wing violence". The same media points out that the resolution was approved by majority vote and with the votes of Verdi, left, SPD and liberals, but not of the CDU, which spoke of "pure symbolism" and "linguistic error".
