Drug treatment is behind the closure of a leisure farm in Western Sweden.

- From the information we received from the police, we think right now that the leisure yard is more harm than good in the area and then it was not a difficult decision, says the leisure manager to SVT News West.

"Can't guarantee it won't continue"

The exact type of drug treatment in question is still unclear, but according to the recreation manager, the police have suspicions that some form of drug treatment has been carried out in connection with the operation.

- If we have the leisure yard open, we cannot guarantee that it will not continue, says the leisure manager and continues.

- If drugs are being handled and there are young people staying there, it may very well be that the young people have come into contact with drugs.

Closed indefinitely

It is currently unclear when or if the leisure yard will be reopened. Initially it was about two weeks that it would be kept closed, but the leisure manager no longer thinks so.

- We will have a meeting on Tuesday next week on how we proceed with the business, he says.

Will the leisure yard be reopened?

- I can't comment on that, says the leisure manager.

"Society is not spared"

According to the recreation manager, there have been no problems with drugs in the recreation center.

- We have known that it is going on in society but not directly in connection with our leisure farm. The community is not spared drugs, he says.

In connection with the closure, an employee at the leisure farm was also suspended, but if it is a direct connection, the leisure manager does not want to enter.

Police say they have launched a preliminary investigation into crimes.
