On Thursday, the municipality of Laholm celebrates the flag on half-bar after former municipal politician Per Asklund has passed away 67 years old.
Per Asklund's political commitment began already in his youth. Over the years, he has held a variety of assignments in municipal politics, both as chairman of the municipal council and as a member of the municipal council.
During several terms of office he held assignments for the Moderates in Laholm municipality. Between 2014 and 2018, he represented Sweden's pensioners' interest party, which later changed its name to the Social Security Party.
"Laholm has lost a Laholm profile"
- He had a strong will to do good things for Laholm municipality. It is tragic that he died way too soon. Today, the thoughts go to Pers's family, says Erling Cronqvist (C), chairman of the local council, in a press release from the municipality of Laholm.
