In Benin, the court has issued an order dismissing the death penalty following the violence that occurred during the parliamentary elections held in April 2018 without the opposition. The aftermath of the vote was bloodied with gun deaths in Cotonou and inland.

More clearly, it is a non-place for the perpetrators of the killings. The investigating magistrate investigated the deaths of Cotonou, Parakou and Savè. According to our information, an order of non-place was thus made by the examining magistrate of the 4th cabinet, on October 24 for " unknown authors ".

No projectiles found on the bodies

The judge was seized in July by the public prosecutor for intentional homicide. His conclusions: Assuming the offense of intentional homicide targeted by the prosecutor constituted, it is impossible to find the perpetrators.

Why ? A medical examiner, made to autopsy seven bodies, would have found no projectile, according to leaks of his report. So impossible to determine the firearm that mowed the victims, and therefore impossible to trace to the user.

The Beninese opposition , in all its press releases, has always affirmed that the victims had been mowed down by real shots.

It also denounces the draft law of general amnesty, resulting from the recommendations of the political dialogue, introduced last week in Parliament for vote.
