“We are ready for constructive work both in pumping gas through Ukraine and in delivering gas to Ukraine, and with a significant reduction in price, unlike the one for which Russian gas consumers receive this gas in Ukraine today,” Putin said during a press conferences following negotiations with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Earlier, consultations between Russia, the European Union and Ukraine on gas transit were held in Brussels; they lasted about 80 minutes.

As the Minister of Energy of Russia Alexander Novak noted at the end of the meeting, the parties checked the hours on the implementation of the agreements that were reached at past consultations.

According to the minister, it was stated that everything was going according to plan.

Political analyst Andrei Ivanov, in an interview with the FAN, appreciated the statement of the European Commission Vice President Maros Shefchovich that he was disappointed with the results of trilateral gas consultations between Russia, the EU and Ukraine.
