It was at 19.45 on Tuesday evening that a bunch of younger men got on bus number 4 at the Resecentrum in Uppsala. They stepped aboard through the back doors, whereupon the driver must have asked them to get off.

- Everyone gets off except two. The bus driver then goes in the back of the bus and is attacked. He is kicked and subjected to violence against the head and torso, says Jonas Eronen, who is the Uppsala Police Press Spokesperson.

The two younger men are now suspected of grossly violent official, but no one has yet been arrested.

Seeking witnesses

- There are witnesses but we would like to have more for the actual event on the bus, says Jonas Eronen.

The injury situation of the bus driver, who is 35 years of age, is unknown.

- I think it's terrible that you can't say without risking being beaten, says Helena Klang, press informant at UL.
