Five men domiciled in Denmark were arrested today in an assault on various private addresses and companies. The strike took place in Copenhagen and Malmö. The men are suspected of extensive tax fraud of tens of millions of kronor.

The comprehensive investigation and today's strike is a collaboration between the Copenhagen Police and the Swedish Police, among others.

More people may be arrested

Detention negotiations take place later today for three of the four men arrested in Copenhagen. The person arrested in Malmö will be requested to be extradited.

- Unfortunately, we have considerable experience of this type of organized financial crime. These criminals create complicated corporate structures with the aim of scamming the Treasury, says Peter Reisz, deputy police inspector at the Copenhagen Police, in a press release.

According to the police, significant investigative work remains and the Copenhagen Police therefore do not rule out that more people may be arrested.
