His Highness called on all government agencies to adopt the concept of future laboratories, to develop their national cadres, and to involve them in the implementation of future strategies, and to enhance their contribution to the country's economy, support their innovative and forward-looking ideas, and inform them on the latest global trends, in addition to benefit from international experiences and successful practices, through partnership with Research centers and scientific and industrial institutions.
The opening of future laboratories in the 2071 area, overseen by the Dubai Future Foundation, is part of the UAE Vision 2071, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to form a long-term government action program, drawing on the historic lecture of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for future generations, in which he outlined the building of future emirates, and equipping the UAE for future generations.

The Future Aviation Laboratory is launching a range of challenges to find solutions in partnership between the public and private sectors, such as the challenge of reducing carbon emissions from the aviation sector by 87%, to reach 15 grams of CO2 per kilometer per passenger by 2030.
