The Egyptian authorities have ordered Monday the arrest of a train reviewer who, according to the report of witnesses and passengers, forced two young men to jump in motion for not having money for the ticket, which caused the death of one of them and serious injuries to the other.

The Prosecutor's Office of Tanta (north) said in a statement today that it has decided to stop the reviewer who "forced them to jump" from the train from Alexandria, citing the version of the complaints registered by several people after the incident and until he is taken to conduct an investigation

The incident took place at the height of the province of Al Gharbia, north of Cairo, in a rural area, and the decision to arrest the reviewer and the head of the train was taken after several passengers approached the police station So much to file complaints.

For its part, the National Railway Authority of Egypt identified in another note the victims as two street vendors offering products to passengers, Mohamed Eid, 23, and Ahmed Mohamed, 25, who is in serious condition.

According to the statement, the train covered the route between Alexandria (north) and Luxor (south) and the young people "refused" to pay the ticket, so they "got off the running train."

One of them fell between the wheels of the train, losing his life at the time, and the other was seriously injured and was taken to the General Hospital of Tanta.

In Egypt, rail accidents are frequent due to the poor condition of the tracks and vehicles, as well as the lack of a modern traffic signaling and control system.

The greatest railway tragedy in the history of Egypt, in which 376 people died, occurred in 2002 when a train caught fire that covered the route between Cairo and the monumental city of Luxor.
