October 27, 2019Open from 7am for regional elections in Umbria. Over 23,000 voters are called to vote today to choose the president of the regional council and the 20 councilors. The counting of the cards will begin immediately after.

The regional elections were brought forward by a year due to the resignation of the governor Catiuscia Marini (Pd), involved in the scandal on public competitions in the Umbrian health system.

Nineteen lists and eight candidates for the leadership of the Region but the challenge is, in fact, between the candidate of the center, the senator of the League Donatella Tesei (supported by Lega, Fi, Fdi, Tesei president, Umbria civica), and the candidate ' civic ' Giuseppe Bianconi protagonist of the first pact on the territory of Pd and M5s and supported, as well as by a civic list, also by Green Europe and the Civic and Green Left.

In addition to Bianconi and Tesei the candidates for governor are: Claudio Ricci (Ricci president, Civic Italy, Umbria Proposal), Emiliano Camuzzi (Italian Communist Party, Power to the people), Rossano Rubicondi (Communist Party), Giuseppe "Dr" Seduction Cirillo ( Party of Good Manners), Martina Carletti (Reconquering Italy); Antonio Pappalardo (Orange Vest).

There will be no run-off nor will the separate vote be admitted: the candidate who won a single vote more than his opponents wins. Twenty regional councilors will be elected.

The voter can cast his vote in three ways: by making a mark on the name of the governor candidate. The preference in this case is also extended to the list or to the coalition connected to it; voting on a list without putting other signs: the vote will go both to the chosen party and to the associated candidate candidate; ticking both the rectangle of the candidate president and a list linked to this.
