The Vice President of the Union of Fishermen's Associations in the UAE and Chairman of the Dibba Fujairah Fishermen Association, Sulaiman Al-Khadim, revealed the decision to prevent fishing in a “laughter” manner in tourist areas on Friday and public holidays, to protect the marine environment and maintain the cleanliness of beaches, and provide an opportunity for tourists wishing to practice Fishing hobby.

Al-Khadim affirmed that hunting days should be defined as “laughter” for fishermen in the region periodically during the week.

He pointed to censorship and violation of non-compliance with the conditions imposed by the Assembly.

The decision came to meet the demands of visitors to the beaches of tourist areas in Fujairah, which is witnessing the arrival of many visitors from the region's residents and tourists, especially with the approaching winter season, as the nets of fishermen crowded the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere. Khadim said that «the practice of fishing (noise) during the weekend is a threat to beachgoers, especially children, as vehicles are used to pull nets. "Smells from fish and marine life are washed away."

He pointed out that the decision to limit fishing days «laughter» during the days of the week for fishermen helps to preserve the beaches of fishing residues, as each fisherman is discharged throwing the waste after the end of fishing, and it contributes to the preservation of fish wealth and protect it from waste.
