More people choose Mälardalen University in the first place

Of the university's 42 basic education programs, 10 start in the spring term. And to them the applications have now been summed up. Of a total of 7,090 applications to MDH, 1,466 were first-choice from the students. This is a seven percent increase.

- The increase is a sign that interest in higher education is growing, but also that the education here at MDH is relevant and interesting. And that more people choose us in the first hand is of course very gratifying, says Ammie Westbeck, head of the admissions and degree section at MDH.

In Västerås, the behavioral science program has increased most in terms of applications, in Eskilstuna the number of applications to the nursing program and the preschool teacher program is increasing.
