Earlier, Morales announced his readiness to hold the second round of elections of the head of state if falsification of the results of the first round is proved.

On October 25, Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro announced that the political forces that sought to change power in the country were also behind an attempted coup in Bolivia.

After the first round of presidential elections in Bolivia in the United States and a number of Latin American countries on October 20, they stated the need for the Bolivian government to “restore” confidence in the electoral process.

According to them, the Organization of American States (OAS) should verify the results of the vote. If this fails, a second round should be held in the country.

It was noted that according to the results of processing 100% of the ballots of the CEC of Bolivia, the current president Morales won the election with 47.08% of the vote, while the opposition candidate - ex-president Carlos Mesa - gained 36.51%.

Against the background of the election situation in the country, opposition protests began.
