Peel off the purple cloth and you will see the girl statue of peace.

A girl statue was erected in front of a building in Annandale, Virginia, called Koreantown near Washington, USA.

The Girl Award arrived in Washington in December 2016, but has been kept in storage since she could not find the site.

Local Korean groups have been promoting the establishment of the Girl Statue in three or four areas around Washington, but they have been unsuccessfully built because of Japan's obstructive operations.

Then, a Korean-American landlord, who learned the sad story, provided a place and settled in three years.

Grandma Gil Won-ok, who was taken to the comfort women at the age of 13, also attended the unveiling today.

This time, the girl statue in Annandale is the fifth girl of peace in the United States.

In the building next to the Girl Awards, there will be an exhibition space called 'Memory Space' to display materials related to comfort women victims.

Established after three years of twists and turns, the Girl Awards testify to the residents of the eastern United States and to the Japanese anti-human crime along with comfort women.
