And for good reason: the losses are substantial and increase every day. For the president of Lubrizol France, Frédéric Henri, it is time to move forward. "It's a matter of weeks, we hope it's as fast as possible, it can only be done safely and in the norms, there is a lot to be done to reassure everyone, including people, "he explains.
The inhabitants are not reassured
The storage sites that burned "will not be rebuilt in Rouen," said Friday the CEO of Lubrizol Corporation, Eric Schnur. Thus "the possibility that a Lubrizol storage site burns in Rouen is zero".
But the inhabitants of the region are far from reassured. Like Anaïs, for whom factories like Lubrizol have no place in the cities. "It's really not good news, the city has grown, what was good in the 1980s is no longer good today, I think all Rouennians hope this factory goes elsewhere", says -t it.
To reopen in Rouen, Lubrizol will have to wait for a prefectural decree. In the meantime, the company will have to provide the authorities with numerous guarantees, particularly in terms of security.
