China says it has basically completed technical consultations on some of the agreements in trade talks with the United States, and agreed on some agricultural regulations.

The Commerce Department said today (26) a phone call was made by US Treasury Secretary Robert Wright-Heiser, US Treasury Representative, US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mannusin and Deputy Prime Minister Liu He.

In particular, the two sides agreed to properly resolve their respective core concerns and confirmed that the technical consultations in some of the trade negotiation agreements were basically completed.

This seems to mean the "one-step agreement" of US-China trade talks.

Earlier today, the USTR said yesterday (25) local high-level trade negotiation representatives talked about the first phase of the agreement, saying the two sides were close to finalizing some areas of the agreement.

After the announcement of the USTR, US stocks rose expectations of negotiations, leading to a rise in key indices.

According to a statement from the Commerce Department, the two sides have agreed to lift the US import of cooked poultry meat and China to ban US poultry imports.

China's Commerce Department says trade representatives from both sides have agreed to talk again soon.

Prior to this, consultations between staff will continue.

In addition to Mr. Liu, Mr. Zhongshan, Vice President of the People's Bank of China, Lee Kang, and Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission of Ningzier also participated in the call.
