26 October 20199.22 Despite the spending review, spending on intermediate consumption by the public administration continues to "run". This is the claim of the CG of Mestre: "In 2018 the central State, its peripheral branches, the Regions and local authorities spent 100.2 billion". The comparison with the main EU countries places us among the most "spendthrift". In 2017, for intermediate consumption, our PA spent 5.5% of GDP, against 5% in Spain, 4.9% in France, the 4.8% of Germany and the average of the euro area countries at 5.1% of GDP.
