It is a man who had been reported as missing in the night on highway 115, hit by the flood of a stream. The man's body was found this morning by the fire brigade on the highway between the towns of Noto and Rosolini.

The victim was a prison police officer. The agent was aboard his car, a Dacia Sandero, on highway 115 when he was run over by a river of mud in the district of Stafenna, in the territory of Noto (Syracuse).

The storm broke down above all in the southern area of ​​the province, between Pachino, Noto and Rosolini.

Torrente overwhelms 2 cars, save 8 people
A torrent overflowing on the highway 115 near Ispica, in the province of Ragusa, has also swept away 2 other cars. The eight people who were on board are safe and in good condition. They were traced by the fire brigade near the cars, not far from the point where witnesses had seen the cars swept away by the water. Sixteen in all the people so far saved by the fire brigade.
