- About twice a week we will do border checks on traffic. If you are stopped you should be able to show some form of identification. And there will be some delay, says Jens Jespersen, police inspector Copenhagen Police.

On November 12, border checks against Denmark will start. The checks for car traffic will be done at the tunnel exit towards Denmark and for train traffic it will take place when the trains run.

- We choose to do the checks when the trains are running so that the train traffic is not affected. As a starting point, we have to counteract delays as much as possible.

Not as tight control as against Sweden

According to the Copenhagen Police, there will be random checks for both cars and trains.

- I can't go into when the checks will happen. But we will test this now to see what the effects will be, says Jens Jespersen.

Will the children have to show ID?

- They will not be affected. There is no ID check, we do this to keep an eye on the crime, says Jens Jespersen.
