Many hotbeds of popular discontent have exploded around the globe in recent months. In Lebanon, the wave of protest that targets political power since October 17 does not weaken. In these demonstrations, which sweep across the country of Cedar, thousands of protesters denounce a political class they deem corrupt.

Throughout the world, in Hong Kong, or in Chile, whether of social or political origin, these movements have in common to mobilize massively the citizens. They then invest the street to denounce growing inequalities and display their mistrust of their ruling classes.

Osama Hajjaj, author of this drawing, is Jordanian. Well known in his country, but also throughout the Arab world, he works for the daily Alquds.
