Climate change has led to a warmer globe - and in California, we have an even warmer climate to wait.

- What we have noticed above all is the change in temperature. We have got a warmer world, says SVT's meteorologist Jannicke Geitskaret.

Large areas of California are now very dry, and for several years there has been less rain in the area. This is also the "fire season" in the area, with strong Santa Ana winds that allow fires to spread quickly.

And worse it will be. In 2100, the area that is burned is estimated to have increased by 77 percent.

- Research indicates that we must get used to the forest fires in California becoming more frequent and even bigger. They will live with the drought.
