Pakistani human rights activist Gulalai Ismail, who fled to the United States last month, denounces the authorities' harassment of her family. His daughter Gulalai Ismail denounces the Pakistani establishment's fierceness against her family, who protected her while she was still being stalked by the Pakistani security services.

Accused of treason, she eventually fled to the United States last month, where she seeks political asylum. The women's and children's rights activist had supported the Pashtun movement (an ethnic group in Afghanistan), drawing the wrath of the authorities. She had been arrested twice last year.
