October 25, 2019 An 80-year-old pensioner has been missing since last night due to the bad weather that is lashing Sicily in Licata, near Agrigento. Some witnesses have noticed in the Salso river a pair of floating slippers, later recognized by the relatives of the old man of which there was no more news. Schools closed today in Caltanissetta, Catania, Ragusa and Syracuse. Ferrovie dello Stato has suspended the railway traffic on the Lentini-Caltagirone, Siracusa-Modica-Gela-Canicattì, Canicattì-Caltanissetta and Agrigento-Canicattiì lines.
