Volynets called the idea good, but emphasized the importance of choosing the right approach when working with similar techniques.

“Imagine the stress that a teenager, a schoolboy can experience if he finds out that he has a psychological tendency to addiction. And this child, for example, plays sports, music, learns languages. For some, this can even become a provoking factor ... Our children are quite advanced, and they can quickly recognize that something is wrong. Improper use of this technique can be more evil than good, although the idea itself is good and at least deserves attention, ”the expert said.

She recalled that no testing should be done without parental consent.

“It is impossible to do all these manipulations without parental consent. Even work with a school psychologist is based on the written consent of the parents. This is a more complicated process than from the point of view of psychology to find out whether a teenager is inclined or not inclined, ”Volynets added.

At the same time, according to her, it is important to improve methods for preventing the emergence of addiction in schoolchildren.

“We need to make every effort for prevention and for maximum employment at the state expense during extracurricular hours so that they have neither time, nor strength, nor desire to become drug addicts and alcoholics, try all these terrible things,” the expert concluded.

Earlier, a member of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Boris Mendelevich came up with a proposal to test schoolchildren for psychological addiction to drug addiction to prevent problems and preventive work in such risk groups.
