To move on, however, he wants state authorities to favor the new currency.

On Wednesday, Zuckerberg was asked by the US House Finance Committee about the planned cryptocurrency, which is supposed to be administered by 21 companies, of which Facebook is one.

So Wednesday's hearing in the House of Representatives was pressed Zuckerberg. Among other things, he was told:

- Facebook can be a hostile place. My look can be commented on, or as of today, your hairstyle.

- I wonder how successful Libra can be while Facebook tries to recreate its reputation.

- Are you willing to stop this project if you see that it can't go forward?

It is still unclear whether Libra will become reality or not. However, Zuckerberg pointed out that it was of great importance for the entire United States not to end up after China, where there are also plans for a new large cryptocurrency.
