It was at 16.20 on Wednesday afternoon that Håkan Lindgren and his two colleagues got the alarm.

- We were standing in the entrance to Sunderby hospital when a patient came running and screamed that a nurse was stuck in the magnetic camera in the mobile MR-car and that he will die, so we of course ran there as fast as we could, says Håkan Lindgren.

Outside in the parking lot where the MR carriage is located, there was another person who screamed the same.

Picked up a knife

Håkan Lindgren and his colleagues rushed into the MR carriage. He tells of the vision that met him.

- There was a man in there already, trying in vain to get the nurse. I also tried to rip him off but he had a kind of weight vest around his neck that pulled him into the camera, so it didn't work. Then I took out a knife and cut the vest. Then I got rid of him and it was really at the last second.

Not by consciousness

Håkan Lindgren tells us that the nurse was not conscious but fell straight down on the floor.

- We pulled him out of there and an ambulance arrived quickly at the scene. I met the nurse today and I am very happy that it went as well as it did after all.

Were you informed that you should not enter metal objects in the MR camera?

- No, there were no direct signs in place and we have not trained in this scenario as a security guard. I can tell you that my baton got stuck in the magnetic camera and so did my colleague's handcuffs and they still remain there.

During the Thursday afternoon, a larger area around the MR carriage was blocked off.
