In 2001, a six-year-old boy died in an MRI examination in the USA. The boy had recently undergone surgery and was to be examined with the MRI camera. Someone had then forgotten about a metal oxygen container in the examination room, despite the strict prohibition of metal objects in the room.

The container hit the boy in the head and he died.

In 2014 , a wheeled surveillance equipment with an oxygen stub was left in a room with an MR camera at a hospital in Värmland. The grief tube and the oxygen tube flew and got stuck in the MR camera. The patient, who was anesthetized and had just come out of the camera, managed without injuries. The repair costs landed at SEK 1 million.

2018 killed a 32-year-old man in India. The man was visiting the hospital with a hospitalized relative. The man was then given the task of hospital staff to carry an oxygen container with him. For some reason, he entered the examination room with the MR camera and was sucked in by the powerful magnetic field. The man died after the container broke down against the MR camera and the man breathed in the contents.
