“The draft law establishes the obligation of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation to take into account contributions for compulsory pension insurance in 2022 based on the direction of the full amount of the individual part of the insurance contribution tariff for financing insurance pensions,” RIA Novosti quotes an explanatory note to the project.

In July, it became known that the Ministry of Labor proposes to extend the freezing of the funded part of the pension until 2022 inclusive.

In December 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin extended the law on the freezing of the funded part of the pension until 2021.

The corresponding bill was approved by the Federation Council and the State Duma.

In Russia, since 2014, contributions to the funded part of the pension system in the amount of 6% of the salary are sent to the insurance part and, thus, are paid to pensioners.
