A dog café in China deceived by selling black-dyed dogs was in controversy over animal abuse.

On Monday, foreign media including the British BBC reported on a fake panda cafe in Chengdu, southwest China.

The recently opened café has publicized the pandas, saying they can actually touch them. The six pandas wandered around the café and made a lot of attention online.

Even in China, known as the home of giant pandas, pandas are rare animals that ordinary citizens can't see, so the café was easily successful in attracting visitors from all over the country.
However, questions have arisen about how civilians can own pandas, which are strictly protected by the Chinese government.

This animal, which looked like a panda, was actually a Chow Chow dog. The cafe side deceived the pandas in black around their eyes, ears and legs.

Knowing this, local netizens strongly criticized, "Don't use animals to make money." As controversy over animal abuse escalates, the owner of the café says, "It is harmless to animals using high-quality dyes imported from Japan."
