- Zaida infiltrated the militia in the last weeks before his death, says Staffan Lindberg.

In his work on the book, Staffan Lindberg has come to the conclusion that Zaida could smuggle in a spy pen to the militia, with the help of one person. In the group there were people whom she suspected had committed severe abuses and rapes of children. The audio recordings recorded by the spy pen then revealed that it revealed boastful and open talk about crimes committed in the group of men she suspected.

- There were 11 audio files in the pen. On these audio files, the men she suspected say very explicitly about what crimes they had committed. The men had not previously spoken a word about what had happened, says Staffan Lindberg.

Found after her death

But the pen did not arrive until after Zaida's death.

- So Zaida never got the evidence she herself was looking for.

When Staffan became aware of the pen, after her death, it had been taken to Öland and Zaida's mother. It would then take a long time for Staffan to find the right person to help him translate the files.

Do not think the government has done enough

But with the help of that translation, Staffan feels even more convinced that it was Zaida's job to survey these men that made her executed.

- I think it is remarkable that, as an independent journalist, I have been able to find this material, while the UN has missed it. I do not think that the UN has done enough in its work to investigate what happened. And I don't think the Swedish government has done enough to pressure the UN, says Staffan Lindberg.
