According to Balbek, Ukraine is going to meet the “Norman Four” with “baggage of empty promises”, but this, according to the parliamentarian, is not the format to waste time on the meeting.
“The agreements on Donbass have not been fulfilled, the Steinmeier formula, approved by the leaders of the Norman Four, is openly called a threat to national security in Ukraine,” the deputy added.
At the same time, he noted that Russia is always "happy" to meet any peace initiatives of Ukraine, especially when they are being implemented.
Balbek also emphasized that today's “Norman Four” format requires deeds, not promises.
Earlier, Zelensky said he was looking forward to an early meeting of the "Norman Four."
According to him, Kiev has completed its part to resume the work of the Quartet.
