According to Peskov, if the Kurdish formations with weapons do not withdraw, then the "Syrian border guards and the Russian military police" will have to withdraw, and "in fact, the remaining Kurdish formations will fall under the rink of the Turkish army."

He also reported on the betrayal by the United States of the Kurds, who over the past few years have been "the closest allies."

“The states abandoned the Kurds and, in fact, betrayed them. Now they prefer to leave the Kurds at the border and almost force them to fight the Turks, ”Peskov said.

Earlier, US Special Representative for Syria James Jeffrey doubted that Russia would be able to get the Kurdish People's Self-Defense Forces (YPG) to leave the areas negotiated with Turkey.

It was reported that Kurdish units were withdrawn from security zones in Syria.

On Tuesday, October 22, during the negotiations between Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the leaders managed to achieve fateful decisions that will resolve the acute situation on the border between Turkey and Syria.
