Íñigo Errejón's economic program contemplates a strong tax increase in personal income tax, large companies, the rich and "ultra-rich", large technology companies or banks, as well as an important package of "green taxation" with an impact on the use of diesel, plastic or airplane. Although one of the most striking things is that it hardly specifies in many cases the figures. In parallel, the star measure is an aid per child of 1,200 euros per year, which would be for all Spanish families, regardless of their financial situation.

The measures presented this Wednesday by Errejón's candidacy have been coordinated by economists Eduardo Gutiérrez, deputy of Más Madrid in the Assembly, and Segundo González, candidate of Más País by Asturias and former head of finance of Podemos.

The star measure of Errejón in the social sphere is an aid of 1,200 euros per year for each child and all families, both the most vulnerable and the richest, would have the right to receive it. It is about creating a new "right" and consolidating it as a "universal" benefit. The argument of More Country is that it will serve to fight against child poverty and to facilitate both labor reconciliation and that families are encouraged to have more children. This help will be given until the children turn 16.

As the program explains, first it would begin covering 50% of the families (the most vulnerable) and the objective is that in a period of 10 years 100% of the children will be covered.

On the subject of taxes, Errejón offers a range of tax increases that mainly affect large companies, banks or technological multinationals. There is also a creation of new tranches in the personal income tax (unspecified) and the imposition of a new minimum rate on Inheritance and Donation Taxes.

It is proposed to address a revision of the Property Tax to tax large fortunes by an average beyond 1.7% or 2%. All those who have assets from 2.5 million euros would be affected. This is intended to raise about 10,000 million euros annually.

In the case of personal income tax, "additional new tranches" will be established for the "highest income", although at the moment no amount or figure of where it would be applied is specified.

Regarding Corporation Tax, we want to establish a minimum effective rate of 15% in business groups by setting limits on deductions. In parallel, it is proposed to lower the nominal rate to small businesses from 25% to 23%,

Errejón reformulates the so-called banking tax, in the mouth of other parties, proposing to increase the tax rate by 10 points so that financial institutions contribute to return the bank bailout of 2013 during the crisis.

In line with the so-called Google rate, it is proposed to create a Tax on Transnational Technology Companies to pay "depending on their turnover in Spain regardless of whether or not they have their registered office" in Spain.

More Country wants to impose a minimum of taxation at national level in the Inheritance and Donation Taxes, a rise that would have an impact in Madrid, where it is well below other communities. With this implicit example, a "harmonization" of these taxes is proposed to avoid "fiscal competition" between communities.
