The eyewitness and his friends usually hang on the balcony in central Malmö. The view is nice and it usually happens a lot, but Tuesday's incident was something on a horse path.
Down the street, a seemingly panicked man cycled - chased by two galloping police horses. In the film, which Kvällsposten was the first to publish, you hear how the cops scream at the man to stop. The man seems to scream that he doesn't dare.
- You didn't really know how to react. We didn't know what he was doing, but we realized he was trying to get away from the police.
According to the police, the mounted patrolman must have seen the man in the process of stealing a bicycle on which they tried to persuade him to stop, police say to the Evening Post.
- Somewhere I understand he was afraid to stop. The police officers were seriously ill and they were really on him, the witness says.
When the cyclist and the horses disappeared around the corner, they saw how many police cars joined the hunt and finally the man could be detained.
