Starting in June next year, buses, designed to reflect the Dutch coast, will roll on the streets of Halland. It was clear when Hallandstrafiken and Nobina signed the agreement on Tuesday.

Apart from the fact that the buses will look different from the gray buses currently available, the buses will also be equipped with free wifi and the possibility to charge their electronics gadgets at each seat.

Buses for the environment

In Halmstad, Varberg, Falkenberg and Laholm, there will also be electric buses in city traffic and all other traffic will be run on renewable fuels.

- It is a way for us to take responsibility for the environment and climate, but also for economic sustainability. There are also demands for smaller emissions of particles, which leads to a cleaner environment and better public health, says Daniel Bernhardt Head of bus and taxi at Hallandstrafiken, in a press release.
